Oof. Seriously, I'm telling you, the best decision Heroes' writers ever made for the show was taking away Peter's unlimited power absorption. It's really hard to tell a story when one of the main characters can pretty much solve any problem that's put in front of him with the application of one ability or another.

Anywho, speaking of fanfiction of the Heroes variety, how about those [livejournal.com profile] heroes_slash awards, huh? I'm thrilled to see so many familiar names in so many categories! As for me, let's see here...

Best Epic- Rescue Me
Best Fluff & Best Hurt/Comfort- Tachycardia
Best Kink & Best One-Shot & Best PWP- I'm Making Eyes at You (Goodness! *blushes*)
Best Other Male Characterization in a Fic- Home for Holidays (Have I mentioned how much I dislike that title? I really should've come up with something better. Oh well, too late now I suppose.)
Best Claude/Peter Fic (PG-PG13)- Rescue Me

Wow. HUGE thank-you to my beloved nominators. You all are fantastic. I consider any entertainment I bring to others with this odd little hobby as a pure bonus to the fun I have on my own (regardless of issues mentioned earlier in this post), but it still makes me feel all warm and gooey inside to know somebody took the time to nominate me.

Okay, I think I'm going to step away from the story before I can come up with any more weird ideas that will just cause more problems, and go watch V for Vendetta. For reasons I haven't been able to determine I've been holding off on watching it for I think at least a year, and that's just not right.

Hee. Yet more evidence of our theory that CE and MV compete to see who can find the worst roles in the worst movies.

And yet they all just seem to invite crossovers between their various characters. And that is a completely unbiased assessment on my part.

They totally do! Hm, who could we cross with James McCullen, though... *has not bothered to track down nearly as many MV projects as CE*

Yeah, MV has not been making films and/or tv shows of dubious quality for as long as CE has. Maybe Rick Rape (I should not laugh every time I type that out) would work; he's got the whole skin-tight clothing deal going, like the Baroness. Plus with a name like that, some evil is expected.

An excellent point. Yeah, I was kind of thinking MV needs to play more bad guys. I don't know anything about this Rick Rape character except for his incredibly ridiculous name and tight pants. And I guess his.. interest in that girl with the creamsicle color hair.

I kind of desperately want MV to be in a period film. He's got about the right look for 50's/60's clothing, at least. I don't think he's managed intimidating well enough to be believable as a villain, but he may get there; he went kind of evil in Pathology (for a good reason) and Rick Rape is apparently kind of banally evil and dies...pretty horrifically. *laughs* Hey, I know more about MV's acting roles than I thought! I know he also played a homophobic jock who turns out to be gay in a minor werewolf movie.

Mm, that could be good. Maybe something Liberty Heights-ish? I think he could do '30s/'40s pretty well too. Oh right, Cursed! I heard he played a gay guy in that. Which shouldn't factor into any reasoning for wanting to watch it, but... Hey, how did things turn out for his character in Armored?

Oh, he'd be amazing in something Liberty Heights-ish. And I'm not just saying it because of how he'd look in the clothes. But seriously. He'd look amazing. I haven't seen it, but I have heard things. Plus there was some short little student film he played a gay guy in. I saw screencaps from it once. In Armored, he lives to stare meaningfully into the distance and eat all the hot dogs (*snicker*) he wants for many days to come. He actually seems like a pretty sweet guy, for all the characterization that's lacking.

... I'm totally thinking Our Friends From the North now- Nicky on his whirlwind tour of America, meets an interesting fella in New York or somewhere. Hee, I forgot about the hot dogs. XD

*snickers* That would be perfect. Wasn't he doing Civil Rights stuff? I can see an interesting New York fella running down to register voters, etc. The hot dogs are the best part ;) Gah, I seriously need to write that David Bilborough/Jake Eckhart fic.

I have no idea what he was doing. Civil rights stuff? Sure! If it will help bring an interesting New York fella into his life. Yes, you do need to write that fic! For the hot dogs!

I vaguely remember that being part of his idealistic streak, yes. I also love that we default to it being an NYC fella, but it fits. I will, I will. I promise!

Excellent. Well, y'know, maybe we're stereotyping dear MV just a bit, but yeah, if the shoe fits. Okay- there'll be hot dogs, right? There must be hot dogs.

He just has that look about him. Which is impressive, because I'm pretty sure MV is born and raised in California. Mmm, there will definitely be hot dogs, and flirting at hot dog stands.

Ha, wow, really? California? Jeez, you know, that might speak to his acting talent- the ability to seem in every way as if he comes from the other side of the continent. Oh, you don't even know how happy I am to hear that.

Anaheim, California, apparently. Also my search history automatically suggested "Milo Ventimiglia paramedic" when I got as far as Milo which says a lot about me. But his whole look definitely suggests East Coast Italian Boy Scout. Heh. I'm not sure how much else there'll be, but that much I know will be there.

Wow, my mind is blown. It probably shouldn't be, but it is. Well, you mentioned the possibility of a mystery of some sort. I would be all for that. Hey, maybe there could be, like, a police convention that somehow someway included folks from England/America (depending on which 'verse you want to set it in). A crime at a convention could be good.

And as much as I would like to continue this conversation, I've got family stuff to do tomorrow, so I should get some sleep. Talk to you later!
