Oof. Seriously, I'm telling you, the best decision Heroes' writers ever made for the show was taking away Peter's unlimited power absorption. It's really hard to tell a story when one of the main characters can pretty much solve any problem that's put in front of him with the application of one ability or another.
Anywho, speaking of fanfiction of the Heroes variety, how about those
heroes_slash awards, huh? I'm thrilled to see so many familiar names in so many categories! As for me, let's see here...
Best Epic- Rescue Me
Best Fluff & Best Hurt/Comfort- Tachycardia
Best Kink & Best One-Shot & Best PWP- I'm Making Eyes at You (Goodness! *blushes*)
Best Other Male Characterization in a Fic- Home for Holidays (Have I mentioned how much I dislike that title? I really should've come up with something better. Oh well, too late now I suppose.)
Best Claude/Peter Fic (PG-PG13)- Rescue Me
Wow. HUGE thank-you to my beloved nominators. You all are fantastic. I consider any entertainment I bring to others with this odd little hobby as a pure bonus to the fun I have on my own (regardless of issues mentioned earlier in this post), but it still makes me feel all warm and gooey inside to know somebody took the time to nominate me.
Okay, I think I'm going to step away from the story before I can come up with any more weird ideas that will just cause more problems, and go watch V for Vendetta. For reasons I haven't been able to determine I've been holding off on watching it for I think at least a year, and that's just not right.

Date: 2010-01-31 02:29 am (UTC)It's just, you know how insular we are in Plaude, and then all the sudden there's my fic showing up in fandom-wide awards. It's...yeah.

Date: 2010-01-31 02:36 am (UTC)Heh, true enough. But still, it's not like that means all that much, outside of the fandom. Or the slash-focused part of fandom.

Date: 2010-01-31 02:40 am (UTC)No, it doesn't. And sometimes it gets me some comments long after things were posted, so that always cheers me up.
