Man, what is better than a beautiful lazy Saturday morning after a long week of work and various running around? I've had my scrambled eggs, my bagel (half margarine, half Nutella- yummm), and now I've got a cup of the fantastic jasmine tea my sister sent up from Florida. I've got all three Sherlock episodes queued up for viewing, and I haven't quite decided if I'm going to attempt a beef stew today. Hm. Also, I finally caved and bought six months of paid lj time. So, uh, yay extra icons? Heh, that was really all I was interested in. I dunno, maybe I'll fiddle around with my layout.

1. When did you first fall in love with ship number 1 (Peter/Claude)?
Aw, well, actually, visiblemarket and I were talking about that a little while ago, and I unforgivably forgot that my first exposure to Peter/Claude was sam_storyteller's unbelievable Hiatus Continuations fic from waaay back when. That definitely caught my interest, as did his epilogue fic that focused on the pairing, Throwing Bricks at One Another. And then I wrote my WW2 thing and found peterandclaude and the rest, as they say, is history. And I couldn't be happier. ^^

2. When did you fall in love with ship number 5 (Shawn/Lassiter)?
Hmm. It's been an awfully long time, and Shawn/Lassiter is a pairing I really like, but haven't pursued much myself beyond reading fic. Especially these days, where the show's writers treat them both like one-dimensional cartoon characters whose interactions have no lasting impact or create any kind of development at all. But, there were moments throughout the first few seasons where I honestly could've seen Shawn/Lassiter become canon. All the mutual frenemy groping and such. There are plenty more, but what's coming to mind right now is from the episode "Gus Walks into a Bank" where Shawn exclaims to Lassiter, "You are so sexy right now!" And also pretty much the whole of "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing." And also my subject line, which was a note written from Shawn to Lassiter in season one and ended with "H&Ks."

3.What is your favorite moment of ship number 3 (Wash/Zoe)?
Aw, I guess it'll have to be them in bed during "Shindig," with Zoe all naked and glowing and Wash being insanely adorable and hot. "I'm getting into this poetry thing. 'Here lies Zoe, my autumn flower... Somewhat less attractive now that she's all corpsified and gross.'" Awww, *tear*.

4. What will the ship be if you take the boy from ship 2 and the girl from ship 1 and mesh them? If one or both of the ships are slash, then pick and choose.
Whoops! That would be either Peter/West or Claude/West- the first I've already covered and the second... no comment, except that, as with most CE characters, I don't think they'd get along.

5. Vise versa.
Umm, I guess that would be Peter/Mirror!Wendy or Claude/Mirror!Wendy. Which is.. interesting. One of the dark Future!Peters might get along okay with her, I think. Claude, though... I doubt it. I just don't think he's attracted to power that way, and I think that's a lot of who Mirror!Wendy is.

6. What's your favorite moment for ship 4 (Alice/Hatter)?
Well, since it's a miniseries there aren't a ton to choose from. I do like the heart-achy moment before she leaves where the UST is bursting at the seams and you want them to just freaking say what they really mean but they don't. And then there's the lovely "What happens if I can't get back?" "Then I'll make sure you're okay." exchange, which gave me an idea for a fic that I'll never write but still like to ruminate on every now and then.

7. How long was there between the time you got into the fandom and the time you started shipping ship number 3 (Wash/Zoe)?
Heh, uh, I think I was probably watching Firefly and enjoying Wash/Zoe before I really got started in fandom proper.

8. When did you start shipping ship number 4 (Alice/Hatter)?
Pssh, instantly? I thought it was cool that the show's creators went there. I know Alice/Hatter has been around for the Disney version and probably others, but it can be kind of squicky if you don't adjust things a little. Syfy's Alice really went ahead and retooled their whole dynamic into something that worked extremely well.

9. Take three random people from three of the ships and create an OT3.
Hee, how about Claude/Zoe/Lassiter? Aw, now I'm thinking of it as a big grief-fueled triangle because they've all lost their soul mates one way or another. In any case, it would be badass, no matter what.

Unfortunately true. I really can't see Joss bringing a baby into storylines, even if the show hadn't been canceled.

I think he might've been able to put up with it for the course of a sequel, but hopefully he'll have learned his lesson about pregnancies from Conner on Angel.

Oh, right, Conner on Angel, that was a time he had a baby. But I think that was due more to Charisma Carpenter being pregnant and not him wanting one on the show.

I...well, wait, 'cause Conner was Angel's with Darla, and then he got kidnapped and grew up in that hell dimension, and then came back old and had sex with Cordelia, who wasn't really Cordelia at that point (I think?) and then there was some demon stuff and the baby was fully-grown Zoe (well, not Zoe, but played by Gina Torres). I dunno, she was some kind of evil goddess. And then the gang defeated her, and Cordelia stayed in a coma, until some episode where she woke up and kissed Angel and then died. It was pretty complicated.

Oh dang, was that who Gina Torres played on Angel? I honestly never bothered watching the end of that arc. I was always pretty mystified about what happened to Cordelia.

Yeah, I was pretty mystified about what happened to Cordelia, and I actually watched those episodes. I gave up around the time when Angel started working at Wolfram and Hart, though.

*laughs* It just mystified me how far away from the original premise the show had gotten. Like, it was Vampire (and Friends) Solve Supernatural Crimes in a Vaguely Noir Fashion! And then it was so not that.

I guess the greater arc of Wolfram & Hart kind of took over the show. Actually, that arc was the only time I really watched it regularly- I've only caught a handful of the earlier episodes, the important ones.

I'm that way with Buffy. I just didn't like it as much, so I saw a couple of episodes that tied back to what was going on on Angel.

I think I only kept up with the last season of Buffy as well. But I've probably seen more random episodes of it than Angel.

I don't know, they're such different genres. Late Buffy and late Angel, definitely, but there was some good stuff at the beginning.

Heh, well, I can't really judge that. I know one of the comic books had a really super-slashy moment between Angel and Spike, though, so it has that to recommend them.

I do like the color of this one.

Does he? Is that indicative? Well, from a quick look at a couple of icons it looks like it's the right hand. I'm just procrastinating now, it doesn't even really matter.

Mm, that is interesting. I think I heard Buffy actually has a relationship with a woman. I think the fanbase was kind of miffed about it for some reason.

Well, for ones like Buffy, you can probably wait to buy the bound versions, used, even; with some of the smaller comic book lines, if you don't buy each volume there's unlikely to be a bound version, but Buffy's probably popular enough.

Okay, whatever, he's right handed, and I don't care anymore. The only reason it was a problem was because I was stupid enough to go and watch part of Our Friends in the North and he holds the guitar wrong if he were right handed. But it doesn't matter, because...that's a different character.
