WILLODEAN QUATTLEBAUM

That's someone's name, people. Their NAME. I just.. words fail me. XD *laughs forever*

Also, the first TEN people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of ANY pairing/character of their choosing from me (that I know), though heaven knows when I'll get around to them, since the only writing I've done lately has been on legal paper during my lunch break or when I'm bored. Have gotten some decent stuff though, I'll try to transcribe it tonight. Claude's finally made it to the tallest room of the tallest tower and I'm quite excited about it.

Also also, anyone else catch the first episode of V? Good stuff, methinks, very good stuff. Morena Baccarin can be so eerie and sweet and still and warm all at once, it's really amazing. And I absolutely loved the priest guy's (Jack? Another Jack? *sigh*) expression when the guy in the wheelchair stands up and says the Visitors healed him- such a perfect mix of genuine joy and genuine fear.

Okay, let's see how much of the latest [livejournal.com profile] watchwomen episode I can work around Mythbusters tonight.

Fairfield Butt

The name of one of my coworkers. Boy, that must've been a fun childhood.

I have a feeling you'll enjoy the latest [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. If it's the Halloween edition, at least. I finally got around to listening to it.

As for the meme, I feel bad asking for anything given that I haven't finished any of mine, but how about...White Collar!Peter/Elizabeth, "The worst kind of interruption".

*snort* Jeez, you know, you're pretty much screwed if you're born into the Butt family, no matter what first name you're given.

I'm pretty sure I will, once I get to the Crank File portion. ^^

Hunh. I'll give that a think. I might wait until after the next episode- get a fresh take on them both.

Better than coming from the Littlebottom clan, I guess?

Hee. Adrian answers a question ;)

No problem! I know I'm...a little lost on trying to do the one Inglorious Basterds prompt I got.

Other way around, I think. I mean- Butt. There's no getting around that.

He does indeed! It's pretty perfect. I like how he signs off with "Best," that's what I do in my work emails.

Hrm, that could be tough, before the movie comes out on DVD.

*laughs* He spends most of his time in the historical house tour-giving circuit. So I guess he doesn't run into the very immature that often. I guess it could be worse for him, he could teach middle school kids.

Doesn't he also have advice about setting up a harem? Or...something like that.

*laughs* Yeah. I mean...it is a drabble so I can fudge some stuff but...yeah.

Right, good, somewhere he can just say, "Hi, My name's Fairfield and I'll be your tour guide today!" Not that "Fairfield" is free of all stigma.

Yes he does, also advocating the creation of one even if you aren't hiding out after a nuclear holocaust.

I think you could do okay, if you just check up on who the characters are (I know I comment-voyeured that prompt earlier, but I can't remember who was involved).

Okay, going to bed like a good adult now. 'Night!

I... was not too impressed with that, I'm afraid. I wanted to like it, but none of the characters really appealed. I'll give it another chance, though, and see where it goes.

As for prompts... Hmm...

Peter Petrelli/Major West, hypothermia (because blanket!fic is cute in a zombie world...).

If you find that pairing too strange to do again, I'll try something else. :)

Ye-eah, I'd say the weakest part was definitely setting up the characters as people worth caring about. But hopefully they'll grow on us over the next couple episodes.

Hmm. Intriguing. I will.. give it a shot, for sure. Though Peter sure ain't gonna be happy about it.

That's one of my sister's classmates. That girl absolutely insane.

It cannot beat "WilloDean Quattlebaum"---not by a longshot. Is that the name of someone you've met or did you just stumble upon it on the Internet? I can't help wondering if the parents were Buffy and Supernatural fans and decided to cram their favorite characters' names together because they couldn't decided which one to give their child. I think they should have given their hild a more normal name like "Alex" if the kid was going to be strapped with the last name "Quattlebaum" for life.

Oof, well, I can't say I'm shocked to hear she's not the most stable individual.

He/She (I really can't say) was given an award at a conference my work was involved with a few years ago. "Willodean" does imply the mashing together of a couple of names, most likely a couple family members. But seriously, you'd think the Quattlebaum clan would have perfected the art of average first names by now, in self-defense.

Apparently, her mother is certifiably nuts---too many drugs in the '60s and '70s or something.

Maybe they're Mormons? I hear that some Mormons like to do that, but the three Mormon families I know just gave their kids normal names like "Grace," "David," "Rose," and "Jared." No Willodeans or Renesmees that I know of. Maybe that's just a Utah Mormon thing...

I wanted to catch V, but I wasn't home. It looks pretty darn awesome, though.

Hiscock

[identity profile] gingerberrysnap.livejournal.com 2009-11-05 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Is the last name of some guy I worked on a credit application for at work like a month ago.

I didn't catch V... I'm waiting to hear more about how it goes since it's just a miniseries I think?

As for a prompt... you have no Plaude yet! So I'll say: Plaude, mattress shopping.

Ouch. Yeah, that's asking for a life spent listening to other people's snickering.

I wouldn't say it was super spectacular, but it had some really good moments and I think if the character development keeps up with the action, it should be pretty great.

Oooh! It's already written, just have to find time to get it out of my head.
