I'm not sure how many folks here don't already know about this site, but oh well: The H.R.G. Files. It's a blog written by the wonderful and talented Jack Coleman of Heroes. Frequently hilarious, always insightful, and just a great reminder that the whole Heroes cast is one big crazy happy family that I would like to adopt me.

Just in case that is common knowledge, here's a bonus: Gaijin Smash, the website created by an American man living in Japan. He used to be an English teacher at a school there, and if you skim the archives you can find hours of entertainment as he relates just how wildly bizarre it is over there, both inside and outside the education system. He doesn't update as much as he used to, but still, just go to the archives. It's worth it.

All righty then, that's done. I'mma go watch Alien Nation on the DVR. After that, I'm headed to the beach with the folks for the weekend, with my fingers crossed that the weather will clear the heck up and I can maybe hop in the pool just once before summer's well and truly gone.

Aw, Jack Coleman's blog, I loved that thing. Now I always feel vaguely ashamed of myself for reading it after I've complained about the show. He's such a great guy, though; that's how I learned he's such a Beatles fan and likes the Red Socks.

Aw well, it's not like he's responsible for the stuff that hasn't wowed us over the years. Though he is responsible for a lot of the stuff that has, which is nice.

I know, but he always defends the show and I want to be like, "You don't have to! We love you anyway!" but that seems wrong. He seems so loyal to all his coworkers, it's sweet, really.

It definitely is sweet. It makes me want to defend the show when people complain about characters never staying dead. It's like, "But they're a family! How can you ask them to split up?!"

Heh. True. And what makes the way people keep saying they hope it gets canceled hurt more, because they're so happy hanging out together! Why would you want that to end?

Exactly. But I think that's always the way with the really good shows- the casts and crews become like a family.

This is true. I love how comfortable they all seem with each other when they do commentaries, for instance.

Absolutely. Those are so cool- how many other shows have free online commentaries for every single episode? None that I can think of.

The only thing I wish was that on the DVDs you could see them like you did online; I think you can with the BluRays but...still. It would be nice.

You don't? Is it like a usual commentary? I can't remember all of a sudden, but I feel like you see them sitting in one of the sets... Maybe not.

Well, for the first season, yeah, they just talk over the scenes like a normal commentary. But maybe you're just remembering the original online versions where yeah, they sit on one of the sets. My favorite example of that being the episode where MV and I think Greg Grunberg did it from the Claire's Room set in S3 and said that they always watched the episode from a teenaged girl's room and picked different ones each week.

You're probably right, I can't remember. Aww, I do remember that! Hee, way to piss me off about having left my teens behind, guys.

Hee. Those boys are just so silly together; I love it when Milo is put with some of the crazier cast members because otherwise he gets too quiet. And Greg is consistently hilarious. Oh, but Milo and Cristine Rose were charming together as well; such a mother and son vibe there, I love them.

Agreed all around. Oh Greg Grunberg, you are one of my favorite people. What episode has Milo and Cristine Rose?

Gosh, I don't even remember, but it was early in V3, when Sylar was still officially a Petrelli, because I remember her talking about how handsome all three of her boys were.

Nuts. Boy that was weird though, huh? The whole- what?- three episodes Sylar was a Petrelli?

Please do, and enjoy your impending celeb crush, if you don't have one on Jack Coleman already like I do.
