Ah, okay, hopefully I have enough time for this...
For
visiblemarket:
1. "Who Let You Go?" by The Killers
Soooo Peter being cute and kind of clueless about his feelings for Claude and how big of a problem they could be for both of them.
Most Plaude-y of the Plaude lines:
Someone must've loved you- not the way that I do.
You're missing what I'm trying to say, ain't nothing getting in my way.
So tell me that's fantastic, and promise me you'll always sigh.
I find it so romantic when you look into my beautiful eyes
and lose control...
2. "A Bad Dream" by Keane
Quite on the other hand, this is so Claude running away from Peter and hating himself for it that it hurts.
Most Plaude-y of the Plaude lines:
Where will I meet my fate?
Baby, I'm a man, I was born to hate.
And when will I meet my end?
In a better time you could be my friend.
3. "Walls" by The Envy Corps
And following up #2, we have Peter's angsty, angsty side of things, up to and including the S1 finale, as so obligingly mentioned in the song itself.
Most Plaude-y of the Plaude lines:
I should be screaming aloud,
but I'm holding it in
'til I see you again.
How long can you bleed
until your heart runs dry?
Are you looking back to see if I've passed?
Haven't you heard?
I survived the blast.
4. "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional
As much as it pains me to have such a post-boyband boyband on this list, these fellas really captured Claude freaking out about how this thing with Peter has become so intense, while at the same time enjoying the hell out of it.
Most Plaude-y of the Plaude lines:
I am selfish, I am wrong
I am right, I swear I'm right-
swear I knew it all along.
And I am flawed,
but I am cleaning up so well.
I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself
5. "I Saw" by Matt Nathanson
A new one that will feature prominently in an upcoming mix. There isn't a word of this song that isn't Plaude-y. I'd say it's a pretty clear picture of Peter's current state of mind when he thinks of Claude, maybe after he has a prophetic dream where the man turns up again.
Most Plaude-y of the Plaude lines:
And I saw
pictures in my head
and I swear I saw you opening up, again.
Cuz I would be heavenly
if, baby, you'd just rescue me, now.
And I'm surrounded,
you spill
all alive and brand new.
And I'll forget about you long enough
to forget why I need to.
ETA: Okay, here's hoping I don't get in trouble for this. I think I'm okay.
For
englishmuffin2 (sorry for the wait!):
1. Peter/Claude. SHOCK. They're just perfect- the complete package. Snarky, sweet, angsty, dramatic, funny, epic, the list goes on.
2. Mirror!Wendy/Major West. That's right,
visiblemarket, that crazy crack crossover pairing we came up with? Is now my villain!OTP. These two are awesome enough on their own, but together? Forget about it!
3. Zoe/Wash. Waaaaash! *sobs* *dries eyes* Sorry, had to be done. Anyway, any serious person/silly person pairing is guaranteed to draw my attention, and these two are among the best.
4. Shawn/Lassiter. Here's another serious/silly pairing, and one I could see becoming canon at some point. Seriously, though, if one of them was a girl, they'd already be hooked up. Which I guess is the point of Juliet, but I would've preferred someone with Lassie's intensity.
5. Bertie/Jeeves. Because they're basically married already, and Wodehouse knew it! But all that aside, here's one more great serious/silly couple. And Bertie's such a sweetheart, he deserves as much happiness as he can get.

Date: 2009-08-12 01:13 am (UTC)It's.. going. It's gonna take a while to get used to losing six to eight hours of my day, five days a week.

Date: 2009-08-12 01:24 am (UTC)You're not losing six to eight hours of your day, you're getting paid to live them. Money!

Date: 2009-08-12 01:35 am (UTC)True, but I'm also being forced to live it without all of you guys. Which is lame.

Date: 2009-08-12 01:40 am (UTC)Aww, well, we wouldn't have been around all the time anyway.

Date: 2009-08-12 01:50 am (UTC)Ye-eah, but I could've been on the couch, idly refreshing the Watchmen kink meme. It could've been nice!

Date: 2009-08-12 01:52 am (UTC)But you don't get paid for that, right?

Date: 2009-08-12 02:01 am (UTC)I hate money.

Date: 2009-08-12 02:02 am (UTC)Oh, come on! Money is nice! You use it to buy things you like! That's nice, right?

Date: 2009-08-11 05:12 pm (UTC)Ahhhh! That list just reminded me I completely forgot to watch the premier of Psych on Friday.

Date: 2009-08-12 01:24 am (UTC)Mm, indeed it is, and important to get your quality time in with it before it's not free anymore.

Date: 2009-08-12 03:33 pm (UTC)Oh, definitely. Most of his songs lead me back to Plaude.
4. Shawn/Lassiter.
Long live Shassie!

Date: 2009-08-13 02:39 am (UTC)Yes! Don't they just go together so well? And pratically canon- Shawn's sat in Lassie's lap, smacked his ass, and called him "sexy" (though sadly not all at the same time). I mean really.
