Hoo boy, it's gonna be a big old day for me. Luckily, I have been fortified with one of my most favorite breakfasts- leftover steamed dumplings and a cup of hot sweet green tea. Yum. Anyway, first up is the job meeting at 11:30, which I've got to tote my behind all the way out to Virginia for (but at least the parking's free for an hour). Since I've just about decided that the commute to the potential job in question is unacceptable, I'm basically looking at this as interview practice. That fact also makes me kind of want to wander in half an hour late wearing sneakers and sweats, ramble out a monologue about string cheese or something for fifteen minutes and leave, but I will resist.
After that I'll be attempting shepherd's pie for me and the folks for dinner, we'll see how that goes. And then it's two hours of friggin' HEROES oh boy oh boy XD. And then after that, it turns out my old Chaucer professor is going to be interviewed on this History Channel show. It's called Clash of the Gods and will air at 10pm. Excitement! He's awesome, one of my favorite professors ever, even though I only had him for the one semester. He also teaches a class on Tolkien, and will be talking about the use of mythology in those books.
Also, I just got my
remixthedrabble assignment, which is cool, in a "yet another thing to distract me from what I should and actually do want to be writing" kind of way. Got a couple of familiar names, and one unfamiliar. We'll see what comes of it this time around.
