Jeez, I could stand an update, couldn't I? Well, anyway, over the last few days I took it upon myself to keep avoiding cleaning finally watch Avatar: The Last Airbender. The TV show, of course. I had made it through the second season, but missed the last one- just couldn't get the hang of kids' programming schedules. Plus, I'm pretty sure I was battling through my toughest semester of college at the time. But anyway, thanks to Netflix Instant, I finally got to watch the rest of this amazing show. And it really is amazing. Honestly, it's one of those things where, if you say you don't like it, I genuinely think you didn't get it. Sorry, but it's true, you didn't. Go back and try again. That finale, though- heh, they really went the full Dragon Ball Z on us, didn't they? I knew that field of giant rock columns looked familiar. I'll definitely have to keep an ear out for when the sequel's airing.
Let's see, other stuff, other stuff... I've got Snow Patrol's latest and Amy Winehouse's posthumous album to listen to, not sure when I'll get around to that. For now I think I'll go catch up on The Daily Show and see what this whole Colbert for President thing is about.
P.S. Boy did I enjoy last week's episode, if only for how much the secondary characters got to do. Juliette saved Nick's ass from the ogre guy! The whole fight I was wondering if she'd show up, and she did, and a little part of me was thinking, It'd be so cool if she actually took out Stark, I mean she probably won't, but it'd be cool, and then SHE EFFING DID. That's some MAJOR points right there. *gives show affectionate noogie* Also, Monroe in Marie's Trailer o' Grimmly Death = comedy gold. "This is a freak show" indeed, Monroe.
And Sherlock, with the stuff. I think I have to watch it again. There was a lot going on and I doubt I understood most of it. Except of course John tearing all our hearts into little bitty pieces at the end. I got that just fine.

Date: 2012-01-20 12:12 am (UTC)I love that Juliette saved Nick from the ogre. It's been bugging me that the only major female character on the show has just been 'the girlfriend' so far. And Monroe's reaction to the trailer was so great. He's got so many divided loyalties, the poor guy, yet he always sides with Nick, which I love.
I need to rewatch the Sherlock episodes, too. By the second half of the Adler one, I was completely lost because I was working on something while watching it. On this last one, I didn't miss as much, but it was so intense and then they ripped our hearts out with poor, dear John. It was almost too much.

Oh yeah, no, you cannot watch those when you're distracted. Waaay too much going on, in Sherlock's speeches alone.

Date: 2012-01-20 04:29 am (UTC)That frustrates me so much. Hopefully, she'll do more from now on. I love Monroe so much. He's adorable and sarcastic and sexy (though he probably doesn't know it). And the clocks! I adore the clocks and how geeky he is about them.
When Sherlock and Moriarty were talking in the apartment, I was fully focused and I still think I missed stuff. These episodes are just so rich and intense. I can't wait to have the DVDs to be able to peruse them properly.
