Eeee, I've finally gotten my mom to sit down and watch Firefly! We're about to watch our fifth episode! I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure at one point she referred to Simon as "My doctor." D'aww!

Aww, Simon is my favorite, he's just such a complete dork. Did you get through the whole series?

Eh, Simon never won my heart the way Mal and Wash did, but whatev'. We watched six or seven episodes, and the marathon only included the ones that aired, so no "Heart of Gold" or "The Message" or "Trash." But Mom actually wanted to watch another episode last night, when by all previous experience she should have been falling asleep! I was so proud.

I dunno... I know she laughed really hard in "The Train Job" when Mal shoved the big nasty bad guy into the intake because he wouldn't see reason.

Firefly is at the top of my list of Shows That Were Too Good For This World. The only comfort is its perfection in stasis, like a frozen flower.

No, but probably more than half. I'll have to bring my DVDs next time I'm there, finish her education.
