Having a nice Labor Day weekend down the beach with the folks. The burns have improved significantly- just one blister left on my ring finger that I feel adequately able to deal with. In other news, checking out the Renaissance Festival event days- no Shakespeare Weekend! Denied! That's lame, but hopefully there will still be a play stuck in with the other performances. They could at least do Macbeth for Scottish Weekend.

This Is Your Life by The Killers (album- Day and Age)

I'm not sure what it is about this song. It's difficult for me to sing along to, I don't really relate to the lyrics very much, it doesn't even make me think of something fandom-related! And yet, I just adore it. "I Can't Stay" on the same album is an extremely close second. Here, have YouTube vids of both:

P.S. There's another song I'm wildly in love with right now, but I'm saving it for that special day when I finally work up the motivation for a new Plaude fanmix. Because it is as Plaude-y as it is beautiful.

Hah, that does sound rather anti-climactic. I think my favorite food type festival is Taste of Bethesda, even though the quick little tastes of everything are still ridiculously expensive.

Yeah, it helps to do those from the start. And there's less of a write up to do than with the tv ones.

Entirely coincidentally, that one just started up on my iTunes. Creepy.

A while back we went to a festival that had a best crab/cream of crab soup contest that was a lot of fun. I don't know if it was expensive. They totally should've done something like that for this festival.

There were some I really couldn't answer. Might just have to hit Shuffle on the Library and see what comes up.
