This might say more about me than I'd like, but I actually have a Word document in which I keep track of songs that remind me of characters/pairings. I guess it just helps me a lot if I can link a song to a character. Helps me get in their head. And pairings- well, pairings are just fun. I can imagine a little private musical number in my head.

Hustle Rose by Metric | Pris, Blade Runner

I believe she's described in the movie as "your basic pleasure model." So, this song is definitely about someone who has sex pretty freely, for better or worse, if not an actual prostitute. But there's also a brittleness to it that I think speaks to her growing self-awareness.

Oh Adrian. I really like the lyrics to this song- they paint such an interesting picture of a character who has seen so much.

You know, for a long time I couldn't understand a word of these lyrics. The singer really needs to learn how to enunciate. But one day I got frustrated and looked them up, and to my surprise, they are SO Rorschach, especially after the Roche case.

We-ell, the color I wanted was the only one they didn't have on the lot, and I need to get insurance by Monday if I want the price I've been given (which I need), so... not so much luck, no. But no matter! Adapt and overcome, etc.

The only song I really know is the last one, but these picks are cool. I think that song could also work for the Doctor, but I'm crazy. I'll have to try this one, after I make some major head-way on my homework.

Thanks! Those are download links if you want to check out the songs you don't know. "Hustle Rose" is.. not my favorite but decent, while "Superpowers" is one of my most favorite songs. "She's a Rebel" is an awesome rocking-out song, and "Bottles and Bones" is atmospheric in a really, really cool way. It totally works! *makes note on list* Please do! Once homework is safely vanquished.

I'm actually driving the car I learned to drive on, which is somewhat fitting. But hopefully I can close the deal on Monday or sooner.

Heh, thanks! It's been a while since I watched Classic Trek, and even that I don't think I've seen very much of the canon, but I still think there's more to Kirk than what people may assume.
