I think we just get so used to fandom, where the your-kink-is-not-my-kink-and-that's-okay mindset is so prevalent, and slash is all over the place and pretty accepted, that it's kind of perplexing that it's not the same, you know, out there. Actors are still afraid to get typecast if they come out, people think it somehow ruins "the illusion" or whatever.
But then you see someone like John Barrowman, who's just out there and still being incredibly attractive to men, women, whatever, and isn't apparently having much trouble with career. Yeah...this is depressing me.
