Splurged a bit at Barnes & Noble today when I had some time to kill between my physical and lunch (I decided to celebrate my clean bill of health with some McDonalds- it was either that or Chinese). I snagged the last of Terry Pratchett's I Shall Wear Midnight on the shelf, and also picked up Stiff, the last Mary Roach book I didn't already own. Also also, a bright green mug with fetching skull and crossbones design!



It's the subtle lime- to pear-green fade on the eye sockets that I really like. ETA: I just realized what an effed-up nose this person would've had to have, to end up with one big hole in the middle of his/her face. Yikes.

You know what I learned in my physical? Drinking soda decreases bone density, at least for women of my background. That's great. Now every time I take a sip of Coke or whatever I can think about my bones melting.

Heh, my my. We-ell, I suppose I would have to say it's a three-way (hur hur) tie between Q&A by Office, Stay by Maurice Walker and the Zodiacs, and.. well, Twist and Shout by The Beatles. What can I say? Just something about the way John Lennon's all but screaming those lyrics... woof. *fans self*

*laughs* I kind of love that you think about things like what the nose would have looked like.

I didn't know that about soda and bone density. But then, I don't drink soda anyway. It's one of the few foods I exercise self-control in.

Heh, I always found that interesting- face reconstruction from skulls. Like when they take a mummy's skull and show you what their face would have looked like.

I am more likely to be drinking tea of some temperature than soda, but I'll probably limit myself even more after this.

Eh, rainy all day, windy too but thankfully not funnel-y.
