Firefly: Badger meets River picspam

This is a favorite scene of mine because it's just so unexpected. I think up to this moment River hasn't been more than The Crazy Girl Who Is Intermittently Creepifying. Here, she displays amazing poise and self-awareness, as well as control over her reading abilities no one knew she had. She takes care of herself, holding her own magnificently against Badger, who for all his foolish qualities is in fact quite dangerous. Not only holding her own- playing him like a fiddle.

YES. One of my all-time favorite Firefly scenes. Summer is just so awesome in this. It gives us so much more insight to River - a completely different side to her, and a little scarier look into her abilities. Good times.
