Oh god, I didn't even know there was a new Discworld book coming out. For...probably the same reason. Good to know. I'm in the midst of reading Emerald City by Jennifer Egan, because an old professor of mine gave it to me. It's good; short stories, which helps with my time constraints/focus issues.
I haven't read it, but I hear "House of Leaves" is pretty scary and good.
I don't remember if it was you or not, but I remember once someone talking about how perfect it was that Gallifreyan is circle-based as a language, because of course Time Lords wouldn't think linearly in anything, even something as prosaic as the written word.
